Chapultepec Park
El Sope trail
Mon. to Sun. from 5 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Chapultepec for runners
The sunrise in the Chapultepec forest captures a unique beauty, a mixture of nature and urbanity, of serenity and movement. This makes it the perfect place for those looking for an inspiring, safe and well-lit space to run at any time of the day. The second section offers various routes: tree-lined clay paths, dog-friendly cobblestone trails, and circuits around Lake Mayor and Lake Menor. The El Sope trail stands out, with its uphill and downhill, but the jogging path offers a beautiful route from where you can see the Papalote Children’s Museum, the Cárcamo de Dolores with murals by Diego Rivera, the new Aztlán Park, the dome of the Museum of Natural History, and the reborn workshop of the little train, now Espacio CDMX. With its 700 hectares of greenery, Chapultepec is not only our main lung, it is also a source of culture, history and biodiversity.
